Are You Always Feeling Tired?
Are you feeling tired? Is the tiredness still there no matter what you do? Do you drink coffee? Are you going to bed early and still getting up tired? Are you wondering what’s going on? There is several Medical Conditions that can cause tiredness as well as medicine.
Medical Conditions that can cause tiredness and the symptoms:
Overactive Thyroid Gland- Hyperthyroidism: Symptoms include but not limited to: Excessive sweating, Heat intolerance, increased bowel movements, Tremor (usually fine shaking), Nervousness; agitation, Rapid heart rate, Weight loss, Fatigue, Decreased concentration, Irregular and scant menstrual flow
Underactive Thyroid Gland – Hypothyroidism: Symptoms include: Fatigue, sluggishness, increased sensitivity to cold, constipation, pale dry skin, a puffy face, hoarse voice, an elevated blood cholesterol level, unexplained weight gain, muscle aches, tenderness and stiffness,
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Symptoms include: abdominal pain, alcohol intolerance, bloating, chest pain, chronic cough, diarrhea, dizziness, dry eyes or mouth, earaches, irregular heartbeat, jaw pain, morning stiffness, nausea, night sweats, psychological problems (depression, irritability, anxiety, panic attacks), shortness of breath, skin sensations, tingling sensations, and weight loss.
Iron Deficiency Anemia: Symptoms include: blue color to whites of the eyes, brittle nails, decreased appetite (especially in children), fatigue, headache, irritability, pale skin color, shortness of breath, sore tongue, unusual food cravings, weakness
Sleep Disorders / Sleep Apnea: Symptoms include; Think you’ve gotten a good night’s sleep but if you’re fatigued when you wake up, have headaches throughout the day, get daytime sleepiness, or just generally don’t feel rested. Stops breathing temporarily during the night of course it works very hard to get itself breathing again and this might mean sounds like choking, gasping, snorting, or wheezing.
Fibromyalgia: Symptoms include, is long-standing, body-wide pain with defined tender points. Body aches, Chronic facial muscle pain or aching, fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, memory difficulties and cognitive difficulties, Multiple tender areas (muscle and joint pain) on the back of the neck, shoulders, sternum, lower back, hips, shins, elbows, knees, numbness and tingling, palpitations, reduced exercise tolerance, sleep disturbances, Tension or migraine headaches.
Medicines that can cause tiredness: Anti anxiety medicines Antihistamines, High blood pressure Diuretics, Pain medicine, Tricyclic antidepressants. There is several over the counter medicine that can cause tiredness also.

Have breakfast... even if you don't feel hungry. You'll be a lot perkier: Studies show that people who eat breakfast feel better both mentally and physically than those who skip their morning meal. British researchers at Cardiff University even found that spooning up a bowl of breakfast cereal every morning is associated with lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
Eat every three to four hours. Having three smallish meals and two snacks throughout the day can keep your blood sugar and energy levels stable all day long
Fill up on more fiber. Fiber has a time-releasing effect on carbs, so they enter your bloodstream at a slow and steady pace, giving your energy staying power,
Fuel your brain with omega-3s. Stay hydrated. Watch caffeine intake after noon.
